You’ve hit the nail completely on the head there I can’t even express it in a better way. Thank you for this message, it’s great to know that there are people out there who arn’t being brain washed and know how he’s now trying to exploit his very young followers haha. Forgive me for not giving you a hefty response but I just do not fancy having him take over my blog even in an indirect way. The more I push him back further into my archive, the more he pops up! It’s kinda like a stain that wont go away.
crooked-vulture: internet drama's generally pretty unnecessary, but you're spot on with all this stuff. 'tumblr famous' and the myspace sceneys of a few years ago are/were pretty harmless in themselves, but when they start trying to sell shit online it really rubs me the wrong way... it just seems kind of opportunistic and exploitative, especially given how young and impressionable most of their followers are. and the stuff itself is, as you say, so basic and derivative. it's very much "emperor's new clothes'.
